Collect Change for Chile
Some of you may know that the National Honor Society recently held a Change for Haiti campaign. Members waited in the cafeteria hallway to accept any donations – even as little as 25 cents – to be sent toward disaster relief in Haiti.
The Key Club found this to be a great idea, and has now launched a campaign for Chile. Their campaign, Collect Change For Chile, will assist the American Red Cross in supporting Chilean earthquake relief.
From March 20th to April 30th, Key Club members will be at one of the tables in the cafeteria hallway to collect donations. Change may also be collected in rooms 329 and 905.
We all have seen photos or videos of the devastation in Haiti after the horrendous earthquake, yet few people talk about the other countries that face disaster. This is a time for Liverpool to assist those in need. We all know lunches are the awkward $2.15. They couldn’t put it at a nice round number, so you always get change that stays in your pocket all day. Instead of keeping the change – coins that will eventually be forgotten and lost in the laundry – help the Key Club raise money for Chile’s earthquake relief.
