The Snow – It’s Finally Here
Snow, you may love it. You may hate it, but in Upstate New York it comes around every winter and some years even in fall.
“I love this time of year because snowboarding is one of my favorite things to do i look foward to it,” said sophomore, Nick Claver, a snowboarding fanatic.
Some people spend their days and nights fantasizing about the fluffy white flakes, especially if some of those people are snowboarders. Claver looks foward to this time of year all year.”I think the snow is a great thing. Everything looks so much bettter. Plus what kid dosent like to have a snow ball fight or play tackle football?”
Allan Wilson, another student loves the winter. ”The best part of winter is obviously knowing Christmas is coming but also the snow amuses me. It’s fun just being able to jump into snow and not be worried about getting hurt. Also since I don’t really snowboard or ski i enjoy going sledding with my friends and have a good time,” said Wilson.
Other students dont have the same opinion on the matter. Senior Jacy Kocan hates snow. “To me it is boring. It’s fun for a few days but then it gets too cold outside and when the snow melts it gets all gross and ruins your shoes. Plus you can sometimes slip on ice,” said Kocan.
Another student Jessica Burgoss, sophomore, cannot stand snow after Christmas.”The only thing I enjoy is waking up to a white Christmas but after that, it is pointless. I hate being constanly cold and overall it just puts me into a more tired and bad mood. I wish it would just snow for a few days,” said Burgoss
No matter what opinions people have on the topic of snow it is a beautfiful yet also a painful thing from the hard ache of shoveling. But, hate it or not, for if you live in Liverpool you are going to have to deal with it (that is, when it comes).
